Duties Description Legal ResearchAssist attorneys with legal research involving the Abandoned Property Law, Banking Law, Estates, Powers and Trusts Law, the Surrogates Court Procedure Act, Domestic Relations Law, and Mental Hygiene Law, among others, as such laws relate to abandoned property claims and abandoned property reporting.Legal Writing/AnalysisDraft legal memoranda, review abandoned property claims, and prepare letters to abandoned property claimants for review by attorneys.Motion ReviewReview motion papers in connection with abandoned property claims for funds representing court deposits and turnover orders.
Minimum Qualifications Non-competitive: Candidates must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited law school.
