    DIVISION STATEMENT

    The Fluid Systems Division (FSD) is a foremost business and technology partner for the aerospace industry, leading the world’s premiere aircraft manufacturers through the design and integration of Fuel, Inerting, Gauging, Electronics, and Engine Systems. FSD’s products and services advance the profitability of our Customers, and to that end, we invest heavily in our capacity to architect, analyze, build, and test our products in support of ever-more demanding aerospace requirements.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Parker Aerospace, Fluid Systems Division in Irvine, CA, is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee the management and execution of our Fuel and Inerting programs. This includes new development, in-service, and ongoing/sustaining programs in various product life cycle stages.

     

    As Program Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customer interface and key stakeholders, setting expectations and ensuring clear and consistent communication. You will conduct regular program reviews and provide status reports for both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are kept informed of program progress and any potential issues.

     

    Key responsibilities will include managing program budgets, scope, earned value, and other KPI metrics. You will work closely with cross-functional team members to support program and operational execution, identifying potential obstacles and working proactively to find effective solutions.

     

    This is an onsite role that will require four days in the office per week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate teams effectively.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    + Ensures customer requirements are met and are in the best interests of Parker by creating the program charter, baseline plan, and other program management components. Ensures that the cost basis and/or pricing is correct by evaluating resource requirements and performing risk analyses.

    + Responsible for integrated program schedules, data integration, tracking of financial and quality performance, and implementation of corrective actions covering all areas of program responsibility. Addresses critical issues on complex programs and leads the team to develop action plans to improve performance.

    + Leads the development of program plans covering mature and new product development programs. Participates in program planning efforts; directs all phases of programs throughout the program lifecycle.

    + Serves as the primary point of contact to the program’s customer and is responsible for the negotiation of contract changes related to scope management.

    + Organizes and leads programs by defining and identifying required expertise; provides feedback on contribution and performance to team members and their direct manager if in a matrix role. Responsible for plans, budgets, staffing, training, and development of direct staff.

    + Oversees and approves task planning on programs including resource requirements and effort estimates related to program performance. Establishes and communicates overall priorities and changing program requirements to functional areas. May manage and/or specify subcontracted work.

    + Ensures strong customer relationships by responding to all customer requests and serving as the primary point of contact for assigned program activities, status and problem resolution.

    + Serves as key presenter and facilitator at major program reviews. Ensures meeting actions are documented and communicated.

    + Acts as a consultant to management on specific programs or overall program management. Establishes goals and objectives required to complete programs. Provides mentoring within program management and leadership to varied project teams.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education and Experience

     

    + Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Engineering, Sciences, Business or a related field; and prior program or significant project management experience.

    + PMP certification required, typically within 6 months of assignment; advanced degree (MS/MBA) and additional certifications (e.g. PgMP, PMI-RMP) preferred.

    + Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through ten or more years of related work experience; including four or more years leading multiple projects/programs of varying complexity and scope and direct leadership of teams. Prior cross-functional and business experience preferred.

    + Specialized knowledge of aerospace commercial or military contracting and procurement requirements and understanding of financial and labor cost systems and production processes. Program management experience in Aerospace manufacturing highly desirable.

    + Self sufficient in managing and balancing multiple complex, high value programs (both development and operational)

    + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Customer interface experience required.

    TYPICAL MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to operate a computer and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

     

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Also expected of the employee is regular attendance, the ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others and members of the public, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

    + Pay Range: $117,554/yr - $205,782/yr; midpoint $161,667/yr

    + Participation in Annual Incentive Program (ACIP)

     

    Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California, Massachusetts, New York, Washington. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
