Join Honeywell as a member of the R&D management team who directs and leads a staff comprising of engineers and scientists. Your scope of work establishes the development strategy for all technology development in your area of responsibility. You will manage resources, project budget(s) and the priorities of the teams. You will define structure, resources and budgets for both development and sustaining efforts.

Key responsibilities:
+ This position is responsible for the research operations management of the UOP Joint Research Center (JRC) under the terms of the Joint Research Agreement between UOP and a partner.
+ Responsible for providing technical and operational guidance to the people working at JRC who are engaged in laboratory facility operations, analytical and micro-reactor testing units plant support roles.
+ Participates in the Joint Management Team (JMT) which consists of the Director, Deputy Director and Operations Manager and provides advice to the Directors on operational and managerial issues, including interpretation and application of the UOP Research Management Operating System.
+ Responsible for providing guidance to the JRC Directors on daily operational effectiveness of the JRC equipment, employees and other resources to deliver the goals set forth in the Joint Research Agreement.
+ Accountable for providing guidance to the JRC Director and Deputy Director to ensure all staff employed in or assigned to the JRC are in compliance with HS&E policies and legal requirements for operation of the JRC as set forth in the Joint Research Agreement.
+ Accountable for aligning JRC performance with the strategic direction given by the Joint Steering Team, and for assisting the JRC Director with reporting to the Joint Steering team on a bi-annual basis as set forth in the Joint Research Agreement.

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills to develop/maintain alignment with the JRC Steering Team and ensure effective operation of the JRC.
+ Strong team building and mentoring skills to ensure full engagement and collaboration between UOP and partner staff working in the JRC.
+ Strong technical skills and technical communications skills to ensure effective alignment of JRC resources with strategic objectives set forth by the JRC Steering Team.
+ Focus on operational excellence through application of the UOP Research Management Operating System (RMOS) and technology strategy execution
+ Actively identify gaps in operation area and proactively make continuous improvements
+ On-site role

YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
