Quality Assurance Specialist
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (35 hours/week)
Contract Type: Six-Month Contract to Hire
Team Size: 6 (currently 3)

Position Summary
This role supports organizational compliance with various standards, regulations, and accrediting bodies. The position contributes to a quality assurance system that promotes high program standards, operational excellence, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
+ Monitor and audit programs and processes to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
+ Assist departments in understanding and meeting funding, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
+ Coordinate and prepare for external audits and evaluations by funders and accrediting bodies.
+ Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure ongoing compliance.
+ Collaborate with leadership to enhance internal controls and compliance efforts.
+ Provide written and verbal reports on compliance status.
+ Stay informed about relevant standards and regulations.
+ Offer technical and administrative support to the Quality Assurance team.
+ Audit and review data quality in case management and energy assistance systems.
+ Support program staff in implementing corrective action plans to improve data quality.
+ Assist with staff training on internal systems and data entry procedures.
+ Monitor data collection processes and ensure adherence to standards.
+ Develop reports and analyze data for quality assurance purposes.
+ Provide administrative support related to multiple data systems.
+ Coordinate the annual risk assessment and assist in identifying and addressing risks.
+ Support the development and implementation of corrective actions, including policy and procedure updates.
+ Create and revise “how-to” manuals and internal documentation.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Public Policy, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a public or nonprofit setting, with experience in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, case management, or information management in
health or social services.
Other Requirements:
+ Valid driver’s license and occasional use of a personal vehicle.
+ Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.52 - $30.49/hr.
