Compounding Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. The role involves filling orders made by pharmacists, maintaining sterile and sanitary conditions in the compounding lab, and assisting in the preparation and packaging of compounded medications. The candidate will also assist in reviewing prescription orders, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Fill orders already compounded by pharmacists.
+ Maintain sterile and sanitary conditions in the compounding lab and workspaces.
+ Assist pharmacists in reviewing and processing prescription orders for compounded medications.
+ Communicate with customers professionally and address inquiries about compounded medications.
+ Efficiently manage phone calls, including providing information and taking refill orders.
+ Verify and organize inventory of ingredients and supplies for compounding.
+ Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements in all compounding activities.
+ Educate customers and patients on the proper use of their compounded medications under pharmacist supervision.
+ Collaborate with pharmacy staff.
Essential Skills
+ Pharmacy technician certification
+ Certified in KS
+ Retail pharmacy experience
+ Compounding experience preferred
+ Pharmacy technician license
+ Must be at least 18 years old

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
