Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves conducting manual and automation testing of software applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, especially in the medical device industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software testing and a keen eye for quality assurance processes.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct thorough manual testing of software applications to identify defects and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
+ Develop and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.
+ Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, and work closely with the development team to resolve issues.
+ Assist in the development and execution of automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
+ Ensure all testing activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines for medical devices.
+ Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test results, and defect reports.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and quality assurance, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and methodologies.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in manual testing techniques and tools.
+ Basic knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks.
+ Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools such as JIRA and TestRail.
+ Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for medical device software, such as FDA and ISO.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on manual testing.
+ Experience in the robotics industry is a plus.
+ Experience with hardware-attached software is preferred.
+ Knowledge of testing sensor data and regulated environments.
Work Environment
This role requires working in a collaborative team setting, focusing on delivering high-quality software. The position involves both manual and automation testing, with a heavier emphasis on manual testing. The work environment includes using tools like JIRA and TestRail for tracking and managing tests and defects. Dress code is casual, and the role offers opportunities for continuous learning and improvement initiatives.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
