Job Title: Design EngineerJob Description

This position encompasses both design engineering and project coordination, with a focus on utilizing Solidworks for design tasks and overseeing project management activities.

Responsibilities

+ Examine production requests to identify necessary design changes.

+ Utilize Solidworks and Autocad to modify designs and implement design changes.

+ Collaborate with product design teams on significant alterations.

+ Engage with vendors and switch suppliers to support production inventory requirements.

+ Assist in implementing design changes on the production floor and ensure process adherence.

+ Create engineering change orders within BOM, PDM, and similar systems.

+ Manage the ECN system, including timelines and requests, and review 2-3 ECNs weekly.

+ Provide follow-up on field requests as they arise.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in Solidworks and Autocad for design engineering.

+ Experience with ECN systems, BOM management, and manufacturing processes.

+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience with Solidworks, including academic experience.

+ At least 6 months of experience with mobile equipment manufacturing.

Work Environment

The position is based in a cubicle-style environment within Plant 7, which focuses on large machinery and utility equipment production. The team consists of 10 engineers, including three contract engineers. The role requires occasional visits to the production floor and meetings across various plants. Dress code follows a 'dress for your day' policy, allowing jeans and polos, with steel-toed boots required for floor visits. The hours are Monday to Friday, starting between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr.
