Job Title: Systems EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Systems Engineer with expertise in supporting unmanned, manned, and optionally piloted aircraft platforms, as well as unmanned ground vehicles. The ideal candidate will be involved in all phases of the project lifecycle, from definition and design to testing. You will develop requirements, create system design documentation, utilize and maintain analytical models, develop new models, and plan and conduct tests to validate requirements.

Responsibilities

+ Develop system requirements and architecture with the engineering team.

+ Create and maintain system design documentation.

+ Utilize existing analytical models and develop new ones.

+ Plan and conduct tests to validate requirements.

+ Engage in cradle-to-grave project phases, including definition, design, and testing.

Essential Skills

+ Systems Engineering experience.

+ Security Clearance is required.

+ Experience in Weapons Requirements Development and Integration/Test.

+ Knowledge in Electronic Warfare/Attack Weapons (EA/EW) and Kinetic Weapons.

+ Familiarity with Stores Management System/Computer.

+ Expertise in CONOPS/Architecture Development.

+ Understanding of Environmental Control Systems and Communications/Radios/Beyond-Line-of-Sight (BLOS).

+ Experience in System/Subsystem Design with focus on the left side of Systems 'V'.

+ Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace, electrical, or mechanical engineering.

+ 8 years of industry experience.

+ A U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or higher, or ability to obtain such clearance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience working within the Defense and/or Aerospace industry.

+ Experience in Aircraft is a must; experience in unmanned aircraft is a plus.

+ Proficiency in requirements definition, DOORS, and various subsystems.

+ Understanding of software, integration, and electrical systems.

+ Knowledge of PDR, CDR, ICD, and schematic design.

+ Experience with hardware and software in the loop environments.

+ Familiarity with Atlassian, Requirements Yogi, UAV, and electrical engineering.

+ Capability in Cameo and mechanical engineering.

Work Environment

This is a long-term project with opportunities for permanent roles for the right candidate. Open to candidates willing to work a 12-month contract, with travel requirements averaging 50% and up to 75% during testing phases. Contract roles are available in Roseville/Sacramento, CA; Round Rock, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; and remote positions if needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80.00 - $110.00/hr.
