Job Description
The Clinical Research Specialist will primarily focus on data-related tasks, including data entry and data abstraction within EPIC systems. Responsibilities include screening patients, entering appointment information, and logging adverse events. The role also involves navigating medical records, scheduling monitor visits, leading tours for monitors, and supporting coordinators and nurses with various administrative tasks. Participation in audits is required. The specialist will work closely with a team of four other professionals on the CRS team and participate in weekly meetings to discuss priorities.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct data entry and data abstraction within EPIC systems.
+ Screen patients and enter information from appointments.
+ Log adverse events and navigate medical records.
+ Schedule monitor visits and lead tours for monitors.
+ Support coordinators and nurses with administrative tasks.
+ Participate in audits and team meetings to discuss priorities.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in data entry and data abstraction.
+ Experience working with data in a medical setting.
+ Strong preference for experience with Electronic Medical Record systems, particularly EPIC.
+ Knowledge of clinical research and oncology.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Research experience is a plus.
+ Oncology experience is a plus.
Work Environment
The position is located at the North Cancer Center, supporting oncology research. The specialist will be part of a team of four, with potential for some remote work. The role offers an opportunity to learn research and advance into a Clinical Research Coordinator position.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
