    We are seeking a Lab Technician who will focus on characterizing and processing silica-based materials.

    Responsibilities

    + Measure physical properties such as surface area, pore volume, and particle size distribution of silica-based materials.

    + Process silica-based materials efficiently and accurately.

    + Ensure that all process and lab equipment is maintained in a safe working condition.

    + Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the lab and process area.

    Essential Skills

    + Quality control expertise in a laboratory setting.

    + Strong understanding of chemistry and wet chemistry techniques.

    + Knowledge of measuring pH, surface area, and particle size.

    + Ability to follow instructions and written procedures.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Associates Degree in a Life Science field or equivalent.

    + 0+ years of experience with an Associates Degree or 2+ years of direct lab experience without a degree.

    + Good understanding of basic chemistry concepts and laboratory procedures.

    + Capability to conduct experiments with a high level of accuracy.

    + Desire to analyze and interpret experimental results.

     

    Work Environment

     

    The role is based in a silica lab, working collaboratively with a team of five additional members.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
