    Job Description

    The Mechanical Installer II role is a technical position designed for individuals who are mechanically inclined and have prior installation experience with machinery or robotics. The position involves installing 20 robotic arms, approximately 40 sub-stations, and internal site fencing, primarily on mezzanine and sub-mezzanine levels. Candidates will handle various tasks, including using hand and power tools, running materials up the elevator with a pallet jack, and working with project teams to commission and clean the warehouse.

    Responsibilities

    + Install robotic arms, sub-stations, and site fencing.

    + Operate pallet jacks to move, strap, and catalog materials.

    + Use hand and air-powered tools to commission towers according to diagrams.

    + Follow step-by-step instructions for installations.

    + Run wiring for power supply.

    + Perform general labor tasks such as material handling, construction, loading, packaging, and cleaning.

    + Engage in heavy lifting and moderate to heavy installation labor.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to lift 40-50lbs consistently.

    + Experience working 8 hours a day on a hard cement floor.

    + Good attendance and reliability.

    + Proficiency in taking direction.

    + Flexibility to work in multiple positions including inventory and housekeeping.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Must pass Avik/Amazon Criteria testing.

    + Prior experience with robotics and general labor.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is within Amazon Distribution Centers, which are currently under construction. Expect a setting that can be messy, loud, and sometimes crowded. High visibility with the client requires professionalism and presentability. Appropriate attire includes PPE such as a high visibility vest, glasses, hard hat, gloves, earplugs, and steel toe shoes or boots. Jeans and t-shirts are acceptable, but avoid loose, baggy clothing.

    This is a Contract position based out of Wilmington, Delaware.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
