    Job Title: Manufacturing Technician

    Job Description

    As a Manufacturing Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacture of commercial and clinical biologics. Your responsibilities will include performing routine operations such as environmental cleaning and formulation of buffers and media according to established standard operating procedures while ensuring compliance with cGMP documentation practices.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare and execute manufacturing batch records, work instructions, and SOPs with a focus on safety and precise execution.

    + Weigh, transfer, and mix chemicals.

    + Document all activities to meet cGMP requirements and maintain compliance, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment.

    + Complete preventative maintenance and work notification tasks on time.

    + Test equipment and perform routine troubleshooting of process and analytical equipment.

    + Draft, review, and revise documents as needed.

    + Run in-process analytical testing as required.

    + Maintain raw materials inventory using systems such as Kanban.

    + Keep training records up to date.

    + Participate in safety inspections, improvement projects, and other required activities.

    + Engage in shift exchanges, meetings, and lean activities to support area needs.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum high school degree or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience preferred.

    + 1-3 years of relevant lab experience preferred.

    + Experience in manufacturing and/or GMP environment is advantageous.

    + Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshoot issues.

    + Capability to stand for 80% of the shift and lift up to 40 lbs.

    + Proficiency in wearing Personal Protective Equipment including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, safety glasses, bump cap, and nitrile gloves.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Excel experience is preferred.

    + Experience in inventory management is required.

    + Production experience (1-3 years ideally) is necessary.

    + Familiarity with GMP practices is preferred.

    + Computer skills, particularly in Excel, are beneficial.

    Work Environment

     

    The role involves working in a cleanroom environment, requiring proficiency in cleanroom protocols. You must be willing to wear a full gowning suit, including body suit, gloves, hair and beard nets, face covers, and safety glasses. The gowning material includes Tyvek, Nitrile, and/or Latex gloves. Prohibited items include makeup, jewelry, nail polish, cologne, and perfume. You must be able to wear a respirator, lift a minimum of 25 lbs independently, and stand for 80% of the shift. The schedule follows a 3-2-2 rotation from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with initial training occurring Monday to Friday during business hours in a controlled environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, Missouri.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
