    Job Title: Diesel Fleet Mechanic

    Job Description

    Maintain and repair vehicles within a fleet to ensure operational readiness, safety, and reliability through routine inspections, troubleshooting, and necessary repairs. Perform basic inspections and preventative maintenance; move equipment as needed. Conduct basic repairs and intermediate maintenance under supervision. Clean and organize the shop and utilize the Fleet Maintenance software system.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.

    + Perform basic and intermediate repairs under supervision.

    + Move equipment as required to facilitate maintenance tasks.

    + Ensure cleanliness and organization within the shop environment.

    + Utilize Fleet Maintenance software for tracking and documentation purposes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 1-3 years of mechanic experience working on vehicles and trucks.

    + Diesel technician certification (preferred but not required).

    + Proficient in using tools.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This position is set within a poultry processing facility, characterized by a damp environment with varying temperatures ranging from hot to cold.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Permanent position based out of Candor, North Carolina.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $47760.00 - $62400.00/yr.

     

    • Pay checks are direct deposited weekly, Fri.

    • Employee is eligible for the following benefits after completing 90 days of continuous employment.

    o 8 paid major holidays per year

    o Vacation:

    • 91-180 days = 40 hrs.

    • 181 – 354 days = 40 hrs.

    • 1 to 9 years = 80 hrs.
