    Position Overview:

    Under general supervision and within in the scope of their certification or licensure, assists providers by performing greeting and identifying patients, escorting patient to exam room, identifying purpose of visit, preparing patient for office visit such as weighing patient, taking vital signs, performing minor medical procedures and other tasks associated with patient care. The LVN delivers care within the scope of the California Nurse Practice Act and the PAMF Nursing guidelines.

    BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

    DEPARTMENT REQUIRED CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

    Affiliate: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Department: SurgiCenter- Endoscopy, Dublin, Internal Medicine, IV Certification within I.V. certification to initiate, maintain and discontinue the I.V. line. Upon Hire

     

    Affiliate: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Department: SurgiCenter- Endoscopy, ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support within Preferred

     

    OR Affiliate: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Department: Surgery, Pediatrics Camino Division, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Pulmonary Medicine, Gen Internal Med, RN-Registered Nurse of California within to insert/remove catheters if required by position Upon Hire

     

    Affiliate: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Department: Clinical Operations, Pediatrics Camino Division, CMA-Certified Medical Assistant Upon Hire

     

    Affiliate: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Department: Clinical Operations, Pediatrics Camino Division, CMA-Certified Medical Assistant within Preferred within 180 Days of hire

     

    Affiliate: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Department: Family Medicine, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Pulmonary Medicine, Gen Internal Med , CMA-Certified Medical Assistant within M.A. certificate or 6 months clinical experience

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN

    DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE

    Affiliate: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Department: Infusion Therapy Center 31-123, 6 months minimum experience recent clinical experience

     

    Affiliate: Palo Alto Medical Foundation, Department: Dublin, Internal Medicine, 1 year minimum experience, preferably in ambulatory care, ambulatory care clinical experience and will cross-train in other departments

    SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    Bilingual, Spanish speaking

     

    Verbal and written communication skills for regular contact with employees, patients and patient families; requires tact.

     

    Basic high school math aptitude.

     

    Basic Windows skills to include keyboarding, mouse movement and computer data entry skills to enter patient information.

     

    Organizational skills.

     

    Ability to lift and position patients.

     

    Visual capabilities to observe patients.

     

    Knowledge of medical terminology/anatomy.

     

    Ability to work with others in a flexible, cooperative manner.

     

    Requires moderate mental application and concentration to handle varying procedures and interruptions.

    Pay Range is $39.91 to $53.57 / hour

     

    _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package._
