Position Description
Serco is seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Military Trainer to support the Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. In this role, you will serve as a Warfighting Function (WfF) subject matter expert within Operations Group A, directly supporting the training of Army Corps, Divisions, and Brigades in Mission Command Systems and the Operations Process.
In this role, you will:
+ Support the After-Action Review (AAR) process during Warfighter Exercises (WFX) in collaboration with military Observer Coach/Trainers (OC/T).
+ Collect and analyze data from WFX simulations for developing AAR products based on OC/T needs or contractor Team Lead requests.
+ Participate in approximately five WFX events annually, each lasting around three weeks, with extended duration if selected for Advance Party duties.
+ Assist in preparing and executing Mission Command Training (MCT) events between exercises.
+ Develop Simulation Control Plans (SCP) and attend Event Life Cycle (ELC) planning meetings.
+ Support other operational tasks and, with experience, contribute to certification training for new personnel within the assigned WfF.
Qualifications
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional leadership experience, or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience.
+ Former Field Grade Officer or Warrant Officer 4/5.
+ Completion of Military Education Level (MEL) 4 CGSC or equivalent.
+ Graduate of a relevant Military Advanced Course.
+ Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
+ Familiarity with current Army and Joint doctrine.
+ Ability to travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations and perform up to 12-hour duty shifts during exercises.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
+ Strong experience supporting military training operations and exercise simulations.
+ Excellent collaboration and presentation skills for interacting with OC/Ts and stakeholders.
+ The capability to manage time effectively during high-tempo exercise periods.
Additional desired experience and skills:
+ Background in Combat Arms with Brigade or higher-level staff experience.
+ Active DoD Secret or higher clearance.
+ Previous OC/T experience, especially within the Maneuver, Intelligence, Sustainment, or Protection WfFs.
+ Operational experience in any of the key Warfighting Functions.
