• Transporter - Environmental Services - Full Time

    Guthrie (PA)


    Position Summary:

    Under direct supervision by the Department Director, performs daily transporting of Guthrie Clinic patients to various destinations throughout the Clinic and Hospital or other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department. Helps perform housekeeping duties at times.

    Education, License & Cert:

    High school graduate or GED preferred.

     

    Driver’s License required

    Experience:

    Training will be provided.

    Essential Functions:

    + Transport items/furniture/medical records for various clinics.

    + Show initiative in learning and developing skills in understanding the needs of the regional areas/locations that will be relocating or requiring moving of items to be transported.

    + Utilizes proper body mechanics and equipment to prevent injuries

    + Demonstrates willingness to accept non-routine work assignments as required.

    + Will push stretcher or wheelchair as well as operate vacuums, mops, wet vac, cleaning solutions, hand trucks/dollies, and will operate a Guthrie vehicle.

    + Takes initiative in doing extra work within areas of responsibility.
