    At Ohio CAT, we're dedicated to keeping our customers' heavy equipment running smoothly and efficiently. We're looking for a skilled and passionate Technician to join our team and help us build the world around us. As a top-level Heavy Equipment Technician at Ohio CAT, you'll be at the forefront of troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding heavy equipment, engines, drive-train components, and electrical and hydraulic systems. Your responsibilities will include inspecting, repairing, maintaining, overhauling, and rebuilding engines and heavy equipment components such as torque converters, final drives, undercarriage, hydraulic pumps, and more. You'll be satisfied knowing your work keeps our customers productive and contributes to the infrastructure around you.

    What We're Looking For:

    Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. College and/or continued education in a technical field is a plus.

     

    Experience: At least 5 years of experience in construction or power equipment/diesel engine service, rebuild, and repair.

     

    Skills: General technical service skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience with construction or power equipment are essential. Strong knowledge of DC electrical and machine electronic systems is also crucial.

     

    Abilities: Ability to follow technical material and apply processes and procedures to complete repairs and manufacturers’ updates as required.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    + Lifting/Carrying 40 lb. Lift/Carry and 50lb pulling

    + Standing/Sitting Up and down stairs, standing, sitting, and climbing into machines

    + Dexterity Normal

    + Repetitive Motions: Frequent movement requiring hands, wrists, and fingers.

    + The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
