Chemours currently has a position available for a **Manufacturing Laboratorian** at our **Washington Works** site in **Parkersburg, WV** .

The primary responsibility of this role is to use broad knowledge of analytical testing and equipment to perform tests and assure timely accurate results to meet production commitments in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

+ Perform routine and non-routine testing to meet production commitments.

+ Perform calibration of equipment as necessary.

+ Troubleshoot equipment or suspect results.

+ Audit reagents and supplies and take appropriate actions to maintain inventory.

+ May be required to perform various emergency response tasks.

+ Responsible for communication with peers, supervision and area manufacturing representatives.

+ Train others on routine tests and equipment as needed.

+ Safe and proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in compliance with plant requirements and environmental regulations.

+ Maintain housekeeping standards for a clean, safe work environment.

In order to be qualified for this role, you** **_must possess_** **the following:

+ High School Diploma/GED equivalent

+ Successful score on the Lab Industrial Aptitude Battery test

+ Successful score on the Lab Hands-on Skill Assessment

+ Demonstrated comfort with computer data entry

+ Willing and able to work a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including overtime, weekends, holidays and on short notice call-in as required

+ Willing and able to lift up to 55 lbs.; climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, reach overhead, hear and respond to alarms; possess visual acuity for close work.

+ Willing and able to wear required PPE (personal protective equipment) such as protective eyewear, face shield, safety shoes.

The following skill sets are** **_preferred_** **:

+ 2 or 4 year degree in Chemistry or other scientific field

+ Completion of a Lab Certification program

+ Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing setting

+ 1 or more years of experience in a Lab setting (manufacturing, medical, etc.)
