Respiratory Therapist Full Time Days

Shift: Full-Time Nights, 6a-6p, NO call

Requirements:

+ Current BLS is required & ACLS, PALS, NRP and STABLE Certifications required within 90 days of hire.

+ Requires an associate's degree and a credential of Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Will accept CRT.

+ Current license in state of Tennessee as a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist.

Job Duties:

+ Assists in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases.

+ Also measures the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

+ Performs a variety of tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a manager.

About North Knoxville Medical Center

North Knoxville Medical Center, a 172-bed acute care hospital, was the first outpatient hospital campus in the Powell, Tennessee area for cancer care, imaging and women’s services.

The center offers:

- Cancer diagnostics, treatment, and support services

- Interventional cardiology services; advanced imaging services

- A brand new (as of December 2021) cardiac rehabilitation program

- Women’s diagnostic services and educational programs

We offer private patient rooms with dedicated family areas. In addition, the hospital has technologically advanced information and communications systems, decentralized nursing stations for better efficiency and patient care, and noise-reduction materials to provide patients with a more comfortable experience.
