As an Operations Compliance Specialist II, you'll coordinate internal and/or external audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of records, and efficiency of our business operations. You'll review data and documentation to identify deficiencies or non-compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) and internal procedures. You'll also document results of audits and escalate non-compliance to management.

    Responsibilities:

    + Read and understand local operating procedures, policies, requirements, and guidelines

    + Accomplish daily hangar compliance inspections and observations

    + Verify compliance pertaining to:

    + Tool control and calibration

    + Foreign Object Debris/Damage (FOD) prevention

    + Hazardous material control, use, and storage

    + Parts tagging, storage, and protection

    + Pre-use inspections of Ground Support Equipment (GSE)

    + Review and report infractions and findings to managers using Microsoft Excel products

    + Assist Quality Engineers with surveillance of aircraft maintenance activities

    + Recommend process changes to improve compliance and efficiency

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 3+ years of relevant experience •A higher level degree may substitute for experience •Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

    + Basic understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

    + Analytical skills

    + Experience using audit procedures and techniques

    + Strong communication skills, written and verbal

    + Basic knowledge of common aircraft maintenance concepts and best practices

    + Experience with inspecting and evaluating production teams’ compliance with processes and procedures.

    + Basic skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

    + **Active Secret Security Clearance is required**

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + Experience with Material Management, Accounting Business Systems and/or Government Property Business Systems

    + Familiarity with Material Management/Government Property Audits

    + DCMA INST 8210 familiarity

    + AS9100 familiarity

    + Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military

     

    Estimated Starting Salary Range: $71,338.47 - $98,090.40. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

    IMPORTANT NOTICE:

    This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
