    Pratt & Whitney, a division of RTX, is seeking a Quality associate in support of the Quality Logistics Team at the Southern Logistics Center (SLC) in Atlanta, Georgia.

     

    The working shift is Monday through Friday, and a possibility for a weekend shift (Friday through Sunday). The Quality Associate will help with parts inspection, training and coaching of inspectors, and providing guidance to clear emerging issues with material being inspected. This person must have a good understanding of part inspection.

     

    • **What You Will Do:**

    + Understand and follow Pratt & Whitney’s policies and procedures.

    + Adhere to CORE guidelines and perform CORE duties as required.

    + Support quality audits and document control.

    + Review, investigate material placed on Quality Review due to deviations from engineering specifications.

    + Review and interpret applicable engineering detail and assembly drawings, engine manuals, clearance charts, engineering changes, and specifications to determine the severity of the material deviations.

    + Support the Aged Inventory process.

    + Evaluate Quality Notifications and related documentation for accuracy and completeness as received from both internal and external sources.

    + Provide the necessary controls for storage and control of nonconforming material.

    + Adhere to all EH&S guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment.

    + Investigate potential and confirmed escapes utilizing the root cause and corrective action process.

    + Review, investigate internal findings to support Quality Management System process improvements.

    + May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    + Requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    + 3+ years of Quality inspection experience is desired.

    + CORE Associate level or Lean manufacturing or 6 Sigma green belt experience preferred.

    + Possess a strong understanding of effective Quality systems and methodologies and their impact on both the internal and external business environments.

    + Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, must have demonstrated ability to work effectively with associates at all levels throughout the organization.

    + Computer skills - Proficient in Word, Power Point, Excel, Access, Project.

    + Experience with SAP.
