Portfolio and product strategy leader within the **Connected Aviation strategy team** in the Avionics Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This role is responsible for guiding strategic initiatives, projects and working across multiple Connected Aviation value streams and functions.
This role will be onsite, the preferred candidate will be available to work at one of our Collins Aerospace - Avionics locations in Annapolis, MD, Cedar Rapids, IA, Burnsville, MN, Melbourne, FL, Wilson, NC, Wilsonville, OR, Atlanta, GA, Wichita, KS, Federal Way, WA, Huntsville, AL, Raleigh, NC, Moorestown, NJ, Richardson, TX, Calexico, CA, Or Bothell WA.
What YOU Will Do:
+ **Guide business strategies** related to the Connected Aviation portfolio. **Characterize segment opportunities** associated with the aviation digitalization megatrend, underserved airline and OEM needs, and airspace modernization worldwide. **Identify the business implications** associated with gaps in products, technologies and capabilities, and partner with Product Strategy, Engineering and Program Management teams to develop and execute growth strategies.
+ Partner with the leads for the other Connected Aviation portfolios and other Avionics portfolios, together with Product Strategy, Advanced Technology and Value Stream colleagues to **develop and execute competitive organic and in-organic strategies** in support of Avionics, Collins, and RTX Strategic Initiatives.
+ **Lead the cross-functional Strategic & Financial Plan (“SFP”) process** for the assigned portfolio within Connected Aviation functioning as an advisor to the Value Stream Leader (“VSL”) - scheduling and leading SFP planning meetings with the VSL’s extended staff, initiating and overseeing the development of the SFP briefing artifacts, applying leadership skills to foster critical and strategic thinking among team members, and orchestrating and delivering executive presentations of the plan.
+ Collaborate and provide input into the planning and strategy development for **Avionics industry engagement activities** - targeting insight and influence in global Airspace Modernization, Autonomy, Open Systems Architectures, and Avionics-related policy development, technical, and operational standards.
Qualifications You Must Have:
+ Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
+ 5 years experience of leadership in business model generation, market/portfolio analysis, and/or strategy execution
Qualifications We Prefer:
+ Background in Finance, Engineering, Business Administration, or Digital preferred
+ Prior work experience in cross-functional leadership activities across teams
+ Experience analyzing data and developing and presenting compelling presentations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership
+ Familiarity with the Connected Aviation portfolio of solutions

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
