Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mail Services Associate (Driver) to support our mail center operations. This role includes handling incoming and outgoing mail, managing digital mail tasks, delivering supplies, operating company vehicles, and providing exceptional customer service across departments.
Key Responsibilities
+ Handle all incoming materials in the Mail Center, including receiving, reviewing, documenting, processing, sorting, and delivering items
+ Perform digital mail tasks:
+ Scan physical mail and save as PDF
+ Email scanned documents to recipients
+ Follow up for further instructions
+ Monitor retention and disposition of original documents
+ Pick up, deliver, and transport mail and packages between departments and locations
+ Deliver office supplies and copy paper to designated areas
+ Inspect incoming deliveries for suspicious or potentially harmful items
+ Operate company vehicle to transport materials and deliveries as needed
+ Pick up outbound packages and boxes from internal departments
+ Sort items by category using established procedures
+ Prepare items for shipment, transportation, or internal processing
+ Prepare and process outbound courier shipments (e.g., FedEx) using computer systems or service provider equipment
+ Maintain accurate activity logs and records
+ Answer internal calls and provide prompt, courteous customer service
+ Ensure all safety protocols are followed at all times
+ Cross-train on other roles within the department and assist with additional duties during staff absences or as directed by management
+ Receive and fulfill print requests in alignment with client specifications
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
+ 2–5 years of experience in Mail Services or Office Services preferred
+ 1–3 years of experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
+ Valid driver's license and clean driving record
+ Strong customer service skills with a positive, "can-do" attitude
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
+ Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
+ Must be capable of handling a mail cart, flatbed, or other delivery equipment
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
