Your role and responsibilities
IBM is searching for a Network Engineer to support United States Space Force (USSF) by developing software in support of Space Systems Command (SSC) Cyber Operations Branch rapid agile development of defensive cyber solutions to protect, defend, and respond to both ground and space based cyber adversarial threats. A successful candidate should be a leader and problem solver with a proven ability to deliver superior results as part of a high performing team in a fast-paced environment.
* Uses knowledge of network systems to help design and install internal and external networks
* Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements
* Relies on established guidelines and instructions to perform daily job functions
* Network Design, Implementation, issue analysis, triage, debugging, monitoring, and issue resolution
* Day-to-day management of a specific task order or group of task orders affecting the same or related/interdependent systems
* Ensure that the technical solutions and schedules in the task order(s) are implemented within estimated timeframes and budget constraints
This role requires working Five days a week onsite in Colorado Springs, CO
Must currently hold and have the ability to maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance
Required technical and professional expertise
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development or STEM related specialty and 10 years’ related professional experience; Or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, software development, or STEM related specialty and 6 years' related professional experience
* Must have JNCDA, JNCDS-DC, JNCDS-SEC, CCNA, or equivalent
* DoD Top Secret clearance required
Preferred technical and professional experience
* Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in Space Systems Command
* Experience with Cyber Operations Branch (SSC/SZYO) program office
* DoD Top Secret SCI clearance preferred
