Your Role: Creating Lasting First Impressions
As a **Host/Hostess** , you will be an ambassador of first impressions and hospitality, ensuring every guest receives a warm, seamless welcome. From the moment they arrive until they are comfortably seated, your charm, attentiveness, and polished presence will set the tone for a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
+ Greet guests warmly and professionally, managing seating to maintain a balanced and efficient dining flow
+ Answer phones and assist with guest inquiries, reservations, and take-out orders
+ Maintain accurate waitlists, notifying guests when tables become available
+ Assist with room service orders and promote up-selling opportunities
+ Process payments, balance cash drawers, and complete end-of-shift paperwork
+ Support opening tasks, including assigning stations and setting tables as needed
+ Handle guest concerns with grace, resolving issues promptly and professionally
+ Guide guests to various outlets and assist with special requests
+ Foster a collaborative team environment through daily communication and coordination
+ Perform additional duties as assigned to support the restaurant team
+ Perform other duties as assigned by the management
What We’re Looking For
+ Prior experience in a luxury restaurant or hotel environment preferred
+ **Prior experience with Resy or similar reservation platforms**
+ **Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal and communication skills**
+ Ability to engage graciously and professionally with guests and colleagues
+ **Comfortable using computers, reservation platforms, and performing keyboard/data entry tasks**
+ Ability to carry or lift items up to 50 pounds (plates, utensils, menus, etc.) and comfortably stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods
+ Familiarity with handling food, beverages, utensils, and point-of-sale systems
+ Basic math and literacy skills for handling transactions and guest records
+ Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
+ Passion for delivering authentic, sophisticated guest experiences
