Manage all functions related to corporate cash utilization, operating and custodial investment account funding, banking and merchant relationships, cash reporting, forecasting, compliance, bank statement reconciliations, fee analysis and project participation for MAPFRE Insurance. Manage liquid financial assets (cash and short-term investments) with an aggregate value in excess of $200 million for all subsidiaries in accordance with Department and Company policies and procedures. Manage communication of cash inflows and outflows to executive management to facilitate efficient long-term investment decisions. Manage all treasury functions requirements on internal system and for new/ enhancement projects to ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulations while ensuring all controls are in place to safeguard cash, check and electronic cash processing. Participate at various levels in the definition or requirements and testing of all corporate projects that impact Treasury.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

**Education:** Bachelor's Degree or professional level of knowledge in a specialized field, or equivalent related experience preferred.

**Experience:** 7 - 9 years or Associates Degree equivalent plus 9 - 11 years.

**Knowledge:** Extensive level of professional knowledge in field across multiple disciplines and broad business segment. Extensive knowledge of management practices.

**Decision Making:** Typically makes decisions that impact short-term results. Interprets and executes policies and guidelines set by higher level management. Determines how to meet schedules, allocating resources. Typically makes operational decisions independently. Recommends modifications to operating policies. Problems are generally diverse and may impact multiple units.

**Supervision Received:** Assignments are received in objective-oriented terms, and combine both strategic and tactical responsibilities. Work is reviewed for unit's overall adequacy in meeting organizational objectives.

**Leadership:** First level manager who typically manages exempt employees and or subordinate supervisors of non-exempt employees. Direct reports typically exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. Provides direction to subordinates based on general policies and management guidance. Develops and administers budgets, schedules, and performance requirements.

**Problem Solving /Operations/Direct Work Involvement:** Responsible for all projects assigned to subordinate unit. Acts as advisor to subordinate supervisors, managers, staff, to resolve technical or operational problems. Subject to approval, modifies organizational structure.

**Client Contacts:** Frequent contacts with internal and external parties at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling project phases. Communication typically involves persuasion, and negotiation with middle and senior management levels.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Certified Treasury Professional ( CTP ) designation required. Demonstrated decision making and leadership ability in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment required to meet departmental and Company goals and objectives. Thorough knowledge of banking laws and regulations required. Solid project management skills are essential. Excellent communication, negotiation and leadership skills are required due to frequent interaction with Executive Management and the extent of banking relationships maintained.
