    As a Senior Project Manager within the Research Information Systems (RIS) team, you will lead and manage small to medium-scale, cross-functional technology projects that support Maestro, our enterprise research administration platform. These projects are critical to enabling efficient, compliant, and forward-thinking research operations across the institution.

     

    This role is ideal for a strategic thinker and collaborative leader who thrives in complex environments where both the problem and solution require thoughtful navigation. You’ll serve as a product owner across multiple Maestro components, ensuring that business needs are translated into effective, scalable solutions.

     

    What You’ll Do

     

    + Lead all aspects of concurrent RIS projects, including scope, schedule, budget, staffing, vendor coordination, and contractual deliverables

    + Develop and maintain detailed project plans, track milestones, and manage risk

    + Develops and delivers comprehensive training modules tailored to stakeholder needs

    + Acts as the primary point of contact for Maestro users and personnel, providing guidance and support

    + Serve as a product owner, gathering and analyzing business requirements, defining system scope, and ensuring alignment with institutional goals

    + Coordinate and execute testing plans and quality assurance processes

    + Mentor and support the development of junior team members, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing

     

    This opportunity is an onsite (with hybrid option) position in College Station, Texas.

     

    Salary: $102,544.00

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience AND 5 years of related experience in project management or research administration

    + Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

    + Ability to cultivate and maintain professional working relationships with others.

    + Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

    A well-qualified candidate should possess one or more of the following:

    + Certified Research Administrator (CRA)

    + Project Management Certification (ACP/PMP or similar)

    + Agile project management experience and client relations

    + Knowledge of Research Administration

    + This position requires compliance with state and federal laws/codes and Texas A&M University System/TAMU policies, regulations, rules and procedures
