Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager of Laboratory implements the hospital mission, goals and objectives by establishing and directing the short and long term vision, values and goals of the department’s by assisting the director in his/her duties, managing the department’s quality assurance, education, proficiency testing, competency validation, safety and other administrative functions toward the attainment of these goals. Responsible for the direction, planning, development, coordination and monitoring of all activities within the clinical laboratory. The Manager of Laboratory adheres to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acts in the best interest of the organization and fully supports the mission, vision and values of Rapides Regional Medical Center.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Bachelors Degree or above from an accredited school in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or chemical, physical or biological science

+ MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP) or, as appropriate, BB(ASCP), C(ASCP), I (ASCP), H(ASCP), or M(ASCP) certification or equivalent required OR registry/certification eligible

+ Previous supervisory experience preferred
