    Description

    We are looking for a skilled Tax Accountant to join our team in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will contribute to tax compliance and accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax accounting and a keen attention to detail.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and review corporate income tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

    • Assist with monthly and year-end close processes, including creating journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

    • Provide support during audits by gathering necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.

    • Analyze and interpret U.S. tax laws and regulations.

    • Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with ASC 740 standards for accounting for income taxes.

    • Utilize tools such as CCH ProSystem Fx, SAP S/4HANA, and QuickBooks to manage tax-related tasks efficiently.

    • Contribute to ad hoc reporting and analysis to support decision-making processes.

    • Monitor changes to tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

    • Participate in improving processes and systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency within the tax department.

     

    Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

     

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably with publicly traded companies or public clients.

    • Proficiency in U.S. tax regulations, including ASC 740 and corporate tax laws.

    • Familiarity with tools like CCH ProSystem Fx, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and SAP S/4HANA.

    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    • Ability to handle compliance and audit-related tasks effectively.

    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

    • Commitment to staying updated on changes in tax laws and industry standards.
