Description

San Francisco based Litigation Law Firm is seeking a local Attorney to join their teams on a contract to hire basis. As an Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for managing all phases of the litigation lifecycle, from pre-litigation through settlement or trial including legal research, drafting motions and briefs, discovery, and trial preparation. The ideal attorney will be able to work on-site in San Francisco, CA but remote or hybrid schedules will be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Review intake documents to develop case strategies and next steps.

+ Draft various legal documents, including motions, pleadings, briefs, and memos.

+ Conduct legal research to support case preparation and strategy via West Law and LexisNexis

+ Manage discovery processes, including document review and preparing discovery related pleadings

+ Prepare for trials and depositions, including organizing exhibits and witness lists.

+ Communicate with clients to provide updates and gather necessary information.

+ Utilize civil litigation experience to navigate complex legal matters.

+ Handle additional projects and tasks as assigned by senior attorneys.

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ Active license to practice law in California.

+ 2-6+ years of California-based, post-bar civil litigation experience.

+ Ability to work on-site

+ Proven ability to handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial.

+ Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft complex legal documents such as motions, briefs, and pleadings.

+ Strong understanding of civil procedure

+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

+ Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional demeanor.

+ Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
