Description Title: Cloud Platform Engineer Location: Addison, Tx Duration: Contract to permanent or Direct permanent Pay: 130k-150k Per year 65- 75 per hour

Our client a leader in the healthcare space is seeking a talented and passionate Cloud Platform Engineer to play a crucial role in building, maintaining, and scaling our cloud infrastructure. As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our critical healthcare applications and data in the cloud. You will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to design, implement, and optimize our cloud environment, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA). This role requires a strong understanding of cloud computing principles, hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably [mention specific platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP]), infrastructure-as-code methodologies, and a commitment to maintaining a secure and compliant healthcare technology environment. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure on [mention specific cloud platforms]. Implement and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. Collaborate with development teams to architect and deploy cloud-native applications and services. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and infrastructure changes. Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA) within the cloud environment. Manage and optimize cloud costs, ensuring efficient resource utilization. Implement and manage data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in the cloud. Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications. Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical systems. Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies and best practices, evaluating and recommending new tools and services. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes. Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security controls and compliance standards. Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with existing systems. Requirements Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Certified - detail oriented Cloud Architect). Experience with database management in the cloud (e.g., RDS, Azure SQL Database, Cloud SQL). Experience with serverless computing (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions). Familiarity with security scanning tools and vulnerability management processes. Experience with implementing and managing identity and access management (IAM) in the cloud.
