Description We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join a thriving nonprofit organization in Plymouth, Minnesota. Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.

• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger with precision.

• Oversee month-end close activities, ensuring all financial data is properly recorded.

• Handle full-cycle accounting tasks to support the organization's financial operations.

• Apply accrual accounting methods to maintain compliance with established standards.

• Utilize accounting software systems to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to corporate accounting principles. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit organization.

• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and accrual accounting methods.

• Experience with month-end close processes and journal entry preparation.

• Familiarity with accounting software systems and tools.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
