    Examples of Duties

     

    + The person selected will work in the City’s Engineering Division and will manage and help deliver public infrastructure projects from project planning through construction.

    + Work will include managing consultant and construction contracts. This position will involve some time in the field observing construction.

    + This position may work on a variety of projects but the primary focus will be on the city’s water system. The City has a robust capital improvement program for the water system with many projects including a long-term waterline replacement program, reservoir and pump station upgrades, aquifer storage and recovery system expansion, and other projects to support a growing service area.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be:

     

    + Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or a related engineering field; and

    + Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience in project management and professional engineering and infrastructure planning, design, plan review, permitting, and project administration experience.

     

    Supplemental Information

     

    Union Representation: Not applicable for this job

     

    Schedule: 10 hour days (Monday-Thursday) general hours are 7:30-6:00 p.m. This position has remote work option 1 day per week.
