    Overview

    **Position:** Physical Therapist Assistant

    **Location:** NovaCare Silver Spring Maryland

    **Schedule:** Full Time 40 hours

    **Compensation:** starting at $27.00/Hr.

    Our NovaCare Silver Spring Maryland is anoutpatient orthopedic center seeking alicensed physical therapist assistant (PTA) to provide top-notch patient care to patients of all ages and abilities.Our clinical team averages 12 patients per day treating everyone from teens through geriatrics. Our specialty services include; neurology, sports medicine, pediatrics, fall prevention and an ACL Program on top of general orthopedics. We WELCOME clinicians of all experience levels, previous OP ortho experience is a PLUS. We can also support new graduate physical therapist assistants with onsite mentorship.

    **Schedule:** Weekdays MWF 7-4pm and Tu/Th 1030a-7pm

    Responsibilities

    + Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.

    + Implement, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures

    + Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients, and enhance and expand client relations with centers and their staff.

    Qualifications

    + College graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program

    + Passed a national examination for PTAs certified by the CAPTE

    + Valid state physical therapist assistant (PTA) license (or license in process)

    + CPR certification
