Description
The Arc Madison Cortland is looking for a a highly motivated Administrative Assistant. This is an office position, Monday-Friday 8a-4p.
SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant – Operations role is a pivotal support role that ensures the smooth execution of day-to-day business functions while contributing to the long-term growth and success of Alternatives Industry. This position goes beyond clerical work to include strategic administrative support, internal communications, content creation, process documentation, and coordination of special projects that enhance operational efficiency and help scale the business. This role offers administrative support to our facilities team, helping keep track of essential documentation and timely submission of accounting forms to ensure timely payment of vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Provide high-level administrative support to the Director of Business Operations and Facilities team.
+ Draft, revise, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), workflows, and internal documentation to improve consistency and operational clarity.
+ Assist with internal communication initiatives, including staff updates, business memos, and content for newsletters and client communications.
+ Support project management and implementation of new operational systems and tools and technology.
+ Conduct research for business efforts, proof-read proposals, grants and other essential formal documents.

Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma/GED required; Associate's degree preferred; one-year related experience and/or training required; equivalent combination of education and experience considered. Proficiency in Microsoft office to include Word and Excel and web-based applications.
