    1. Occupational Summary (Position Objective & Authorities)

    Objective:

    Under general supervision, oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between the project team and key stakeholders (customers, both internal and external, and management). Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops mitigation plans/solutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms to monitor project progress, mitigate risks, and solve problems with the project team, customers, and management.

     

    2. Main Function Responsibilities:

    Position responsibilities and activities filling Guidelines-

    • Kick off new projects, establish expectations, and maintain and drive the tempo through delivery/transition handoff.

    • Manage the project scope, budget, timeline, milestones and risks.

    • Lead cross-functional project meetings to review/update schedules, monitor progress, work bottlenecks, and ensure early problem identification and implementation of corrective actions.

    • Maintain positive relations with customers and communicate project status.

    • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand constraints and expectations.

    • Monitor all open action items to ensure timely closure.

    • Organize, schedule, and prepare for team activities and project meetings.

    • Develop and maintain a detailed master schedule/project plan to ensure project tracks to strategic deliverables.

    • Receive, understand, distribute, and respond to key communications (letters, memos, emails, etc.) from stakeholders (customers, management) in a timely manner.

    • Provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of each project.

    • Develop, track, and report applicable KPIs.

    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

    • May approve electronic purchase orders.

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    3. Qualification Requirements:

    A. Education & Qualification-

    • Four-year degree in Business or a related disciplined field is required, or six (6) years equivalent related experience in lieu of degree.

    • 1-year previous experience in industrial background (aero, or manufacturing).

    • Prefer Lean Six Sigma certification.

    • Prefer PMP or other related project management certification.

    B. Work Experience - Technical knowledge-

    • Three (3) years of experience in a customer related area required with 2 of those years being project management experience.

    • Experience in a manufacturing environment and in the aerospace industry preferred.

    C. Professional Skills-

    • Knowledge of project management and relationships between departments within a design to build and manufacturing environment.

    • Have a working knowledge of the aircraft interiors business and be capable of handling discussions on technical areas concerning the company's products.

    • Have a very good working knowledge of the standard suite of office software products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, et. al.)

    D. Behavioral Skills-

    • Must have ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • Ability to work in a team, collaborative, cross-functional environment while providing recommendations to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the project. Must be able to interface with all departments within the company and external constituents.

    • Demonstrated effective and motivational leadership skills.

    • Excellent communication interpersonal skills.

    E. Preferred Skills-

    •Project Management Skills, Usage of an Integrated Planning ( type Plannisware), Excel and Power BI.

    •Capable of leading meetings (IPT or Obeya) and providing KPI based reporting.

    •PMO Certification would be a plus.
