Position Overview:
As the Offering Manager for Portfolio, you will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and management of our product portfolio offerings. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong market analysis skills, product management expertise, and the ability to collaborate across functions to achieve business objectives. You will also drive the operational execution of the business and improve its profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Strategy and Development:
+ Develop and execute the overall strategy for the company’s product portfolio, aligned with market trends, customer needs, and business goals. Determine and manage pricing/profitability by leveraging financial metrics (variable margin, gross margin, operating margin) and market knowledge. Support pricing discussions with sellers and customers.
+ Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify new opportunities and gaps in the portfolio.
+ Define the product roadmap, including prioritization of initiatives, feature enhancements, and portfolio expansion plans.
Product Lifecycle Management:
+ Manage the entire life cycle of products within the portfolio, from concept through to end-of-life decisions.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, operations, procurement) to ensure timely development, launch, and ongoing support of products.
+ Work with supply planning, asset management, and procurement to optimize the supply chain. Drive make/buy decisions, capacity expansions and cost/yield improvements utilizing appropriate financial calculations.
+ Monitor product performance, analyze metrics, and implement strategies to optimize product profitability and market competitiveness.
+ Participate in the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) process. Identify opportunities to improve profitability and execute. Manage supply and demand imbalances. Take ownership of the demand plan and drive improvements in forecast accuracy.
+ Develop Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and support the development of the Strategic Plan (STRAP) focusing on volume, price and regionality as well as profitability and working capital.
+ Deliver cost productivity projects. Work with R&D and process development to deliver operational improvements (yield improvement, scrap reduction, etc.) and cost savings.
+ Optimize SKUs by leveraging 80/20 principles. Create and delete SKUs in SAP.
+ Support New Product Development (NPD) programs.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:
+ Act as a key liaison between product management, sales, marketing, and executive leadership to communicate portfolio strategy, initiatives, and performance.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align priorities, resolve issues, and drive consensus on strategic decisions. Prepare communications and presentations for senior leadership.
+ Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and customers to gather insights, drive co-development opportunities, and enhance product offerings.
+ Support sales in contract negotiations.
+ Collaborate with sales, market development, offering management and customer marketing teams to develop appropriate collateral.
+ Support government relations to drive the business strategy.
+ Coordinate with production planning, logistics, and plant leadership to ensure timely delivery and recognition of orders. Drive process improvements and deliver improvements on OTTR and OTFP.
+ Develop and maintain internal communication tools such as dashboards to facilitate alignment of mid-cycle estimates on sales and revenue.
Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence:
+ Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to the portfolio.
+ Conduct regular market analysis and customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities for product innovation and differentiation.
+ Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to the portfolio strategy as needed.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Minimum of 6 years of expertise in product management, offering management, or related roles, with a focus on portfolio management
+ Proven track record in portfolio performance management and lifecycle management
+ Strong understanding of Master Data Management
+ Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
+ Intermediate to advanced excel capabilities
+ Understanding of basic supply chain, finance and SIOP concepts
