    Summary

    Office registering, scheduling utilizing electronic computer operations, perform related processing duties for all clients being serviced by Mercy REACH programming

    Essential Functions

    + Completion of registration, scheduling in electron medical records, and related processing duties for all clients in coordinating services with therapists, physician offices, occupational companies, legal/court departments, and hospital ancillary areas.

    + Provide insurance verification, cashier, registration, financial assistance information/assistance, reconciliation of visit activities, accurate posting of charges and related clerical support duties.

    + Provide information regarding self determination to clients and/or significant others and document any existing advance directive, obtains proper releases

    + Verifying entry of data into the practice management system to ensure availability of information for healthcare professionals in the provision of care and maximum reimbursement.

    + Collects co-pays and payments from clients and uses appropriate communication skills to explain policy while being sensitive to client concerns. Upon completion of interview, expresses appreciation for the client visit.

    + Completes daily case balancing sheet and payment control log and process per current policy

    + Other duties as assigned

    + Each employee utilized in positions which are responsible for direct care or supervision of children or adolescents shall be at least eighteen years of age.

A prospective employee, adult volunteer or student intern convicted of or who has pleaded guilty to an offense listed in paragraph (I) of rule 5101:2-5-09 of the Administrative Code maybe hired by a provider if the conditions as provided in paragraph (H) of rule5102:2-5-09 of the Administrative Code have been met.(3) Criminal record background checks on employees, volunteers and student interns are conducted by the bureau of criminal identification and investigation (BCII),or any other state or federal agency designated by the director, and, if the prospective employee does not demonstrate that they have been a resident of Ohio for the preceding five years, by the federal bureau of investigation

    Education Qualifications

    Required Minimum Education:

    High School Diploma or GED

    Specialty/Major:

    Clerical, medical office experience

    Preferred Education:

    2 Year/ Associates Degree

    Specialty/Major:

    Clerical, medical office, chemical dependency mental health clerical experience
