    Job Title: Senior Solution Specialist

    Purpose and Objective:

    SAP Labs, LLC seeks a Senior Solution Specialist at our Palo Alto, CA location responsible for the business, market and revenue success of the Solution ensuring successful market adoption.

    Expectations and Tasks:

    Stay connected to customers, customer councils, end users and SAP ecosystem to ensure grass-root level understanding of the current and future problems and needs and a fundamental outside-in orientation. Identify and support relationships with customers and prospects. Contribute to the efficiency, effectiveness and improvement of processes used. Monitor and analyze technology and industry trends, market research data and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities for SAP. Develop and drive creation of strategy for a solution. Define market requirements for solution roadmap. Build business cases to implement solution strategy. Identify new partnership opportunities. Responsible for the public roadmap for solution updates and releases with relevant, customer value-oriented content in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Deliver high quality solutions (packages), validation and acceptance of planned and implemented scope adding solution-related non-coded assets and services. Contribute to go-to-market and monetization plan for solutions including partner and channel options. Review solution success & run analysis of customer insights. Support solution launch, rollout and field and partner enablement. Develop and build story boards for sales demos of solutions. Create roll out materials, e.g. collaterals, references, success stories. Train and educate key multipliers (SAP internal and external). Actively participate in customer communities. Support strategic deals and customers and partners.

    Education and Occupational Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field of study and six (6) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field of study and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

    Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

    Experience must involve two (2) years in the following:

    + Product and domain knowledge in SAP Intelligent Asset Management & Service portfolio, including SAP S/4HANA, SAP Service and Asset Manager, SAP Field Service Management, SAP Spatial Asset Management and SAP Asset Performance Management;

    + Technical application and BTP Cloud configuration knowledge of SAP Service and Asset Manager;

    + Master data modelling for SAP Intelligent Asset Management solutions, including knowledge of integrated processes;

    + Presentation skills, including executive presentation, solutions overviews and product demonstrations;

    + Knowledge of market requirements for asset management and mobile applications in asset intensive industries including Oil and Gas, Utilities, Process and Discreet Manufacturing, or Rail;

    + Knowledge of software sales processes and creation of quality content to support sales processes, customer enablement and business development; and

    + Knowledge of the competition for SAP intelligent asset management solutions, including mobile maintenance and service competitors.

     

    Travel: Position requires up to 20% of domestic and international travel to various and unanticipated client sites.

    **Compensation Range Transparency:** The annual base salary range for this position is $163,871 - $211,992. SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is $163,871 - $240,900. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
