    Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.     The Walter Scott Jr. College of Engineering ( WSCOE ) at Colorado State University is a dynamic and diverse college comprising approximately 170 faculty, 300 postdoctoral scholars and research scientists, 95 academic and administrative staff, 2,500 undergraduate students, and 1,050 graduate students. The College is home to four academic departments serving both graduate and undergraduate students, two departments with graduate- only programs, two interdisciplinary degree-granting programs, and a federal cooperative research institute.

    Position Summary

    The Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering at Colorado State University invites dynamic and innovative educators to apply for non-tenure track faculty positions that may become available as we launch our Common First year Engineering program. These positions will be primarily responsible for teaching foundational courses in the first-year curriculum, including courses in engineering fundamentals and engineering for grand challenges.

     

    Applications will be reviewed when a vacancy occurs and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. The selected candidate will be assigned the non-tenure track rank of either Assistant Teaching Professor or Associate Teaching Professor based on their experience.

    Required Job Qualifications

    + PhD in an engineering related discipline or other relevant field.

    + A commitment to supporting students with historically marginalized identities through culturally responsive pedagogy, mentorship, and/or advising.
