TITLE: Associate Mentor
DEPARTMENT: Assigned Building
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
RECEIVES GUIDANCE FROM: District Leadership
BASIC FUNCTION (BF1): The Associate Mentor plays an essential role in guiding and supporting associate in their professional development, ensuring that they have the skills, knowledge, and resources needed to be effective in their roles. This position serves as a liaison between district leaders, building administrators, and Associate, fostering a supportive and efficient work environment. The Associate Mentor will assist with annual training setups, provide technical support, and ensure that Associate have a clear understanding of day-to-day operations, including Medicaid processing and injury reporting.

HIRING SPECIFICATIONS (HSBS1-16):
Demonstrated experience or willingness to acquire skills:
+ Liaison for District Leadership Input: Act as a communication link between associate, building administrators, and district leaders to relay pertinent updates and feedback.
+ Assist with Training and Tech Support: Help set up annual training, assist with Medicaid processing training, and provide ongoing tech support for associates.
+ Problem-Solving and Q&A: Address daily questions and concerns related to associate duties, time clock issues, and injury reporting. Offer guidance and quick solutions.
+ Collaborate with Building Administrators: Work directly with building leadership to ensure associates have the support they need and relay any school-specific updates.
+ Manage Meetings and Reflection: Host monthly structured meetings for associates, facilitating observations, feedback, and reflections to foster professional growth.
+ Lead in other duties as may be assigned.
ABILITIES (A1):
This position will require physical demands, including constant standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, lifting under 30 pounds, and carrying items at least 35 feet. There will be frequent climbing of stairs and manual dexterity tasks. There will be occasional sitting and vehicle driving. The working conditions will be constantly inside/outside with extremes of temperature and humidity.
KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION (KE1-3 and KED1-3):
Required to meet one of the following qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in education or related fields is a plus.
+ Prior experience in an educational setting, especially working with associates, is preferred.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide guidance and resolve issues effectively.
+ Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
