    This is an advanced professional work assessing and developing Adult Protect Investigators (APIs) to ensure possession of the appropriate level of professional competencies. This position will work in cooperation with the Program Administrator, API Supervisors and Regional management in promoting the development of knowledge, skills and application to case activities.

     

    Coach, motivate and model best practices to provide real time field casework guidance and assessment for both new and existing APIs.

     

    Observe and evaluate investigator's casework activities, assessment of service needs and referrals to services and provide feedback to the API and the Adult Protective Investigator Supervisor (APIS).

     

    Assess and coach APIs in interviewing, assessement and documentation skills.

     

    Review casework, assessments and findings, providing consultation and direction to ensure appropriateness, clarity and quality of the investigation.

     

    Coordinate and provide in-service training to address areas where individual and/or unit performance improvement is required.

     

    Identify operational problems in the implementation of policies, procedures, and training gaps, making recommendations for improvements. Works with management and particiaptes on performance improvement teams based on the results of quality assurance reviews.

     

    Provide backup to Adult Protective Investigators, and Supervisors in field work, as assigned.

     

    Provide professional technical support and assistance to front line staff and ensure compliance with processes and procedures.

     

    Knowledge of social, economic,

     

    rehabilitative or health care services, administration or planning techniques. Knowledge of methods of compiling, organizing and

     

    analyzing data. Ability to develop program manuals, policies, procedures, standards and rules. Ability to analyze the effectiveness of

     

    service programs and identify resources or adjustments needed to meet needs. Ability to conduct research studies. Ability to plan,

     

    organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish and maintain effective working

     

    relationships with others.
