Director of Project Management – Acquisitions Overview
The Director of Project Management – Mergers & Acquisitions is a senior-level leader responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of Osmose's inorganic growth initiatives. This role is pivotal in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic acquisition opportunities while ensuring seamless integration post-transaction. The successful candidate will serve as a cross-functional liaison, partnering with executive leadership, legal, finance, operations, and external advisors to drive enterprise value through disciplined deal execution and effective change management.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Corporate Development and plays a key role in aligning M&A activity with Osmose's broader strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage the full cycle of M&A initiatives including opportunity identification, strategic fit analysis, due diligence (primary and confirmatory), deal structuring, and post-close integration.
+ Build and lead cross-functional project teams comprised of internal stakeholders and external advisors (legal, financial, technical) to ensure timely and efficient execution.
+ Develop comprehensive business cases for acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures, including market assessments, risk analysis, and strategic rationale.
+ Construct and oversee detailed financial models to support valuation, budgeting, and scenario analysis in partnership with FP&A and Corporate Finance.
+ Present findings, recommendations, and updates to senior leadership and board-level stakeholders through executive-ready deliverables.
+ Drive the execution and refinement of Osmose’s inorganic growth strategy by contributing to the development of standardized playbooks, integration templates, and governance frameworks.
+ Coordinate integration planning efforts, managing workstreams across operations, HR, IT, finance, and legal, ensuring strategic alignment and synergy realization.
+ Monitor acquisition performance against defined KPIs, delivering post-close performance reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field required.
+ MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline strongly preferred.
+ Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, investment banking, or management consulting.
+ Demonstrated experience leading complex deal processes from inception through integration.
+ Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis.
+ Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
