    We are seeking a talentedProgram Associateto join our team of nearly 500 employees. TheProgram Associatefocuses on conducting comprehensive assessments for individuals referred by the Department of Social Services (DSS), including substance use disorder, employability, and brief mental health evaluations. The role involves making appropriate referrals to service providers, resolving differences in care-level recommendations, and reviewing cases to determine the need for case management. The incumbent will manage data entry in RAS, oversee out-of-county service requests, and ensure the appropriateness of care levels for clients.

     

    CCSI is partnering with the Monroe County Department of Social Services Program to hire aProgram Associate.This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf of the Monroe County Department of Social Services Program.

     

    In this role, you will be

     

    + Completing substance use disorder assessments for applicants or recipients referred from DSS Examiners.

    + Completing employability assessments for applicants or recipients referred from DSS Examiners.

    + Completing brief mental health assessments as requested

    + Identifying the most appropriate substance use disorder provider for referral of applicant or recipient for a substance use disorder evaluation.

    + Reviewing and resolving cases when there is a difference of opinion concerning the appropriate level of care for applicant / recipient.

    + Reviewing needs of applicant / recipient to assess whether case management would be appropriate

    + Entering data concerning assessments into RAS

    + Reviewing any requests for level of care changes and either approves or resolves differences with treatment provider.

    + Reviewing requests for out of county services and either approves or resolves with substance use disorder provider making the request.

    + Reviewing appropriateness of congregate level of care services for RAS clients and follows up as necessary.

    + Be available to provide additional information as requested at Fair Hearings.

    + Participating in the training of DSS staff as requested by supervisor

    + Reviewing materials provided by supervisor concerning services and programs provided from the various Monroe County substance use disorder providers and uses them in making referral decisions

    + Meeting weekly with supervisor

    + Reporting out on work being done as requested.

    + Completing all OASAS, other certified trainings to maintain CASAC credential

    + Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    What You Bring

     

    + Credentialed Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)

    + Knowledge of the substance use disorder provider system in Monroe County

    + Knowledge of the mental health provider system in Monroe County preferred.

    + Ability and willingness to learn how to use the Monroe County Recovery Attendance System (RAS)

    Required for this position are:

    + Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings.

    + Ability to be flexible, organized, and work independently, yet be amendable to supervision.

    + Recognizes and values diversity within the work environment.

    + Participates as a member of the CCSI staff team in valuing individual differences and supporting one another’s opportunity to achieve their greatest potential.

    + Culturally responsive to the population being served in the development, design, monitoring, evaluation and/or implementation of programs or services.

    + Staff working directly with Medicaid data will abide by the specific procedures and policies outlined by both New York State and Federal regulations.

    + Respect the confidential nature of all CCSI and CCSI customer information you are exposed to in the course of your work performance. Staff working directly with protected health information /electronically stored protected health information, personally identifiable information, and other patient/consumer/customer data, will abide by the specific procedures and policies outlined by CCSI’s Code of Conduct and CCSI’s Privacy and Security Policies, New York State regulations and Federal regulations.
