Job Overview

Deer Crest Assisted Living in Red Wing, MN is looking for a **Resident Assistant/Home Health Aide** whom would be responsible for providing personal cares and designated health related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents’ physical and emotional well-being.

This caregiver position includes;

+ 32 Hours in two weeks, part-time schedule

+ Evening Shift

+ Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat & Sun - 2pm-10:30pm

+ Week 2: No schedule

+ E/O weekend Sat-Sun rotation/holidays

Located across the street from Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, **Deer Crest Senior Living** features convenience, hospitality, and the services to make our residents feel at home. We offer Independent/Assisted Living as well as Memory Care. We boast an excellent team of caregivers who believe in our mission to heal, discover, and educate for longer healthier, more meaningful lives.

+ Assists residents with personal cares including but not limited to: bathing, shaving, dressing, hair care, feeding, toileting, and transfers/lifts.

+ Under direction of Nurse, provides health related services as needed such as; passing medication, glucose monitoring, temperatures, blood pressure, and pulse.

+ May perform duties that include: laundry, cleaning, meal service, and assisting with activities.

+ Observes residents and reports status to appropriate staff

+ Assists with onboarding of new staff

Required Skills:

+ Ability to communicate optimally, with compassion and kindness for residents and coworkers

+ Ability to work in a team setting and support others

+ Curiosity to work with a diverse and older population

+ CNA certificated if under 18 yrs old

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills:

+ High School diploma or GED or completion of a formal NA or HHA course

+ Previous work experience as HHA, CNA, NA, DSP, PCA
