Enterprise Charter School (ECS) Overview:

Enterprise is a public charter school in Buffalo, New York educating children in kindergarten through eighth grade. Founded in 2003, ECS is committed to "Engaging young minds through projects and partnerships."

We pursue our mission through our Charter's key design elements, with our primary focus on highly engaging project-based learning, comprehensive arts education, and individualized instruction for enrichment and acceleration. Enterprise Charter School is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing personalized and inclusive education for students with diverse learning needs. As a Special Education Teacher, you will create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and work collaboratively with general education teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the academic, social, and emotional success of all students. The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and have a NYS certification in Special Education.

QUALIFICATIONS

+ A demonstrated interest in impacting K-8 students in urban schools and communities

+ Valid state certification in Special Education (required).

+ Experience working with students with special needs (preferred).

+ Knowledge of IEP development and individualized instruction.

+ Strong classroom management and behavioral support skills.

+ Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers and staff.

+ Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

+ Patience, compassion, and a commitment to making a difference in students' lives.

Enterprise Charter School offers a competitive salary, health benefits and is a member of the NYS Teacher Retirement System. Our teaching salary scale starts at $45,900 for the 2025-2026 school year.
