Major/Essential Functions:

+ Provides inpatient and outpatient adult neurology clinical services to include critically ill neurological patients and stroke consults at either the assigned Neurology Outpatient clinic or the designated affiliated hospital(s)

+ Supervises resident clinics and participates in the overall teaching program for teaching and training of residents and medical students, to include presentation of lectures

+ Engages in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship

+ Serves the academic community through participation in institutional governance, such as committee work and other administrative duties

+ Contributes to the community through academically-related public service complimentary to the institutional mission

+ Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations

+ Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures

+ Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine’s Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

Required Qualifications:

+ M.D. or D.O. Degree

+ Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program

+ Successful completion of an ACGME- or UCNS-accredited neuro-critical care fellowship program in the United States

+ Board Certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

+ Texas medical license, or eligible for licensure in Texas
