SPenn Medicine is seeking a full-time, day shift Clinical Informatics Pharmacist, Research in Investigational Drug Services (IDS) for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP).
The Research Clinical Informatics Pharmacist (RCI Pharmacist) will understand and develop solutions to improve the process for storing, handling and dispensing of Investigational Products (IP) such that patient safety and operational efficiency is enhanced. The RCI will partner with key stakeholders in the Department of Pharmacy, the School of Medicine and the research community to establish those solutions in the electronic health record, IP dispensing software and any other relative technologies used within the Investigational Drug Service (IDS).
Summary:
+ Supervise efforts for effective process design, development and implementation in all aspects of the EHR, dispensing software and Quality Management Systems(QMS) as it relates to IP.
+ Coordinate and collaborate with multiple clinical and technical stakeholders to design and deliver systems which are interoperable with core systems and outside entities, as appropriate.
+ Manage and leverage data from the EHR, IP dispensing software and QMS. This includes, but is not limited to, providing analytic support to pharmacy and research staff, partner with stakeholders to build out reporting capabilities and uses, develop dashboards to monitor and improve the clinical, operational and financial efficiencies of IDS.
+ Focus on improving workflows through effective use of technology.
+ Facilitate governance as applicable.
+ Ensure that ongoing maintenance is in compliance with policies and procedures.
+ Serve as the liaison between the research teams, IDS and the EHR build teams to facilitate template and IP build.
Education/Experience:
+ Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited university and 3 years of experience (required)
+ Pennsylvania pharmacist licensure (required)
+ EPIC Certification (preferred)
+ PGY1 pharmacy residency (preferred)
+ PGY2 pharmacy residency in informatics (preferred)
