INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Compliance Engineer – Senior to lead the technical development of cybersecurity compliance artifacts and checklist validation for the 557th Weather Wing. This position supports the execution of a Wing-wide STIG compliance roadmap under the USAMS V contract and interfaces with software sustainers and cybersecurity policy teams to ensure consistent, accurate baseline reporting and remediation planning.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The roles shall include:
+ Assist in the development of artifacts required to meet DISA STIG and AFLCMC Cybersecurity requirements as specified in CDRL A003.
+ Engage directly with software sustainment teams to assess system baselines against current STIG checklists and ensure accurate compliance mapping.
+ Develop and deliver individual system compliance reports, documenting responses to checklist line items and identifying deviations.
+ Provide expert-level analysis on gaps in compliance and deliver actionable guidance to remedy or mitigate non-compliant configurations.
+ Ensure traceable, repeatable compliance documentation practices aligned with Air Force cybersecurity auditing requirements.
+ Maintain alignment with evolving STIG versions and DoD/AFLCMC policy mandates.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated relevant experience in secure software development, application of STIGs to software, and cybersecurity artifact generation. Proven experience working with sustainment baselines and secure software lifecycle practices in a DoD or Air Force context.
Preferred Certifications and Training:
DoD 8140.03 and DAFMAN 17-1305 compliant certifications such as:
+ CompTIA Security+ CE
+ Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
+ GIAC Secure Software Programmer (GSSP)
+ Familiarity with AFLCMC, STIG Viewer, and DoD Configuration Management frameworks.
Proficiency in:
+ DISA Application Security and Development STIG
+ Secure coding review and checklist alignment
+ Fortify and CodeSonar scanning tools
+ Java or J2EE-based code environments
+ Documentation and delivery of cybersecurity compliance artifacts (CDRL A003)
+ Baseline assessment, response mapping, and remediation planning
Security Clearance:
Must possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
