    Job Summary

    The Senior Project Manager, PMO, is responsible for all aspects of multiple medium to large projects with moderate to high complexity. This role is responsible for taking projects from the original concept through completion, acting as a single point of accountability for the projects to ensure stated objectives are met. The Senior Project Management Analyst must demonstrate strong commitment to stakeholder relationships by proactively communicating and taking ownership of risks/issues and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner. They need to be able to thrive in complex and ambiguous situations, and be flexible enough to step outside of normal roles.

     

    As a Senior Project Manager, PMO, at Community Health Systems (CHS) – Shared Business Operations, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our purpose to help people get well and live healthier by providing safe, quality healthcare, building enduring relationships with our patients, and providing value for the people and communities we serve.

    Essential Functions

    + Manages multiple large-scale projects that require strategic planning and stakeholder management.

    + Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.

    + Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and risks to stakeholders and leadership.

    + Successfully executes project plans by exhibiting ownership of task assignments, follow up with assigned project personnel, proactively removing blockers, and ensuring alignment of production output with expected milestones.

    + Identifies the impact of change on the organization and managing relationships.

    + Mentors and coaches Project Managers.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    + Complies with all policies and standards.

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field required

    + 4-6 years managing complex projects required

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Proven experience managing large-scale, complex projects with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.

    + Working knowledge of Google Suite.

    + Well-organized, capable of working under pressure, able to multitask, and attention to detail.

    + Problem-solving necessary when projects are not going as planned.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    Licenses and Certifications

    + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred
